The speed with which the Flickr Commons group is growing, and the passion and excitement pouring in with all the new members is really inspiring!

It’s made me realize how much the Flickr Community has taken The Commons into their hearts. It really is the coolest and most amazing thing that’s happening on flickr.

Here’s to George Oates, and The Commons!

I love Flickr most for the community aspects. We (I and many of my friends) were devastated to hear of George’s “push” by Yahoo and I was so pleased to hear about the creation of this Commons group. Whilst we can’t fill George’s shoes, we can certainly carry on the hard work that she put into making the Commons what it is today, and what it will be in the future.
