I never realized the Lion that guards the Staff Entrance had such a colorful history. It’s unfortunate the Lion got removed from its original job of guarding the carousel built by Hugo Haase. That carousel sounds incredible; it would be fun to have that magnificent machine installed in the Beaux Arts Court at the Museum. It would add extra sparkle to First Saturday events!
